Facebook could not leave politicians to post what they want, according to people at The Verge, who say the changes could even be announced Friday.
If you didn't know by now, politicians were protected by some content moderation rules. All this change would occur after the account of the former American president, Donald Trump, was suspended. The former White House leader is accused of encouraging his supporters during the assault on the Capitol in early January.
After that, many journalists criticized the fact that world leaders and politicians were allowed to use the platform to spread fake news and harass their opponents. Moreover, there have been allegations that Facebook, Twitter and other networks are spokespersons for the former president.
