There is little doubt that wars and their preparation have a devastating impact on the countries they affect. These, however, have a far more significant effect on people, whether they are directly participating or merely onlookers during the event. When Josh O'Donnell, a war veteran, is on the run from the Union army in Can’t Hobble the Elephant by Frank Dutch, he suffers hardships and feels like someone continually monitors his every move. Because of his post-war trauma, he has a constant sensation of anxiousness.
