Volvo has opened the order books for the C40 Recharge in the first European countries. The second electric model in Sweden's current range of vehicles can be ordered immediately in the Netherlands and Norway and from June 3 in Sweden and Great Britain. Different markets will follow in the coming weeks.

Volvo had presented the C40 Recharge as an offshoot of the XC40 Recharge at the beginning of the year. Both vehicles use the same drive from the CMA platform, with 300 kW of power and a 78 kWh battery. In terms of bodywork, Volvo has given the C40 several distinct elements, such as the headlights or the rear doors. Therefore, the C40 Recharge is run as an independent model and not as an XC40 Recharge Coupé.
