Renault launched a new limited series for its most affordable electric car. It is the Renault Twingo Urban Night, a version with a more radical look, according to Renault, which will be available from January 2022. Raising within the A-segment, the Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric is one of the most affordable electric cars in the entire Spanish market. Now a new version with a more striking appearance arrives to add in a limited way to its range, a variant that Renault has called Twingo Urban Night.
Renault has announced that this new limited series is articulated around the Intens equipment level and that it will be available in four different colors designed to emphasize the most aggressive accent of the rest of the aesthetic solutions, namely, Crystal White, Quartz White, Moon Gray and Diamond Black.
There are two different versions depending on the exterior design. The signature of the diamond says that it is a series of distinguished types of vinyl in a "light version" available as standard on the C-pillar and a "premium pack" that covers the roof and rear doors. In both versions, the stickers are available in light or dark colors, which allows them to combine or stand out better according to the color chosen for the bodywork.
As complementary details for these stickers, the Twingo Urban Night sports-specific equipment elements for this version, such as 16-inch alloy wheels in gloss black, white markings on the grille and an "Urban Night X" signature on the mirrors.
Inside, Twingo Urban Night proposes elements finished in gloss black for the dashboard with the designation "Urban Night X" on it. The seats feature black upholstery with white piping and a specific white band with the designation "Urban Night X" in the center of the seats. On the technological side, the French firm says that as an endowment, it has chosen to incorporate as standard in this version navigation with connected services, the induction smartphone charger, and the reversing camera with ultrasound sensors.
This new Urban Night version of the electric Renault Twingo will be based on the only mechanical option in which Renault's electric is available in Europe. Its electrical scheme, therefore, is represented by a synchronous motor positioned on the rear axle, whose power is 82 HP. This is powered by a 21.3 kWh capacity battery (with LG Chem cells), which with a full charge of the same, certifies a range of 190 kilometers based on the WLTP cycle. For performance and dimensions, therefore, it is an eminently urban electric car.
At the moment, Renault has not specified a price for this new Urban Night version of the electric Renault Twingo. In the ZEN equipment line, it starts from 21,726 euros, so it is to be expected that the starting price of this limited series will be slightly above.
