The Amazon rainforest is home to millions of species of plants and animals and a million natives. The deforestation of the Amazon jungle has reached a tremendous level in recent years. Brazilian government aims to slow deforestation, but that is a lie. The Brazilian government has encouraged agricultural and mining activities but has reduced funding for agencies which can arrest poachers or wood thieves.
